Backend Engineer - Investments

You will work in the Financial Empowerment domain. Our goal is to empower everyone to achieve financial freedom and unlock their potential for a better life by providing N26 users with access to the money they need to achieve their life objectives, whether today (deposits or borrowing) or tomorrow (saving and investing).

In this role, you will :

1. Collaborate closely with your Tech Lead on architecting new features and seeing them through to completion.
2. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in a thriving environment.
3. Mentor junior team members by ensuring code quality through pull requests and providing guidance.
4. Stay updated with the latest technology trends and share findings during team days.
5. Work within your cross-functional team to uphold high technical standards across the product.

What you need to be successful :

1. Experience developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin experience is a plus).
2. Strong understanding of microservice architecture.
3. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
4. Experience with modern cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
5. Proactive in helping yourself and others succeed.
6. Continuous learner who challenges the status quo.
7. Think globally, act locally.
8. Give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback.
