PDG Media is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a sales role, preferably in the food & beverage sector or for marketing agencies.

Specialty coffee experience or knowledge of the industry and key players is a significant bonus. PDG Media is a specialized GTM & marketing agency working within the F&B sector, focusing on specialty coffee.

We are part of the PDG Global media group, which includes trade publications such as Perfect Daily Grind & Coffee Intelligence, as well as the Producer & Roaster Forum.

In 2025, we will launch a new initiative called the Global Coffee Awards. We are offering two full-time, permanent roles for candidates based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe.

The role will be primarily remote with occasional in-person meetups.

The successful candidate will enjoy engaging with clients daily, identifying key business opportunities, and strategizing to close deals. You will manage the pipeline for our strategic project sales, including identifying target customers, nurturing relationships, and converting prospects.

Our current and past agency clients include brands like MTPak Coffee, Hardtank, Flo-Smart, as well as organizations such as Guatemalan Coffees, UKAid, and Adam Smith International.

You will collaborate closely with the COO to align with sales strategies, drive new business, and meet revenue goals.

You should be comfortable communicating with clients at all levels, understanding their needs, and relaying this information to your team.

As part of a leading coffee publishing company, your responsibilities will include working independently to meet revenue targets, pursuing new sponsorship and partnership opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, negotiating renewals, coordinating with the digital projects team, upselling across our portfolio, and updating the team and leadership on sales progress.

**Essential requirements:**

  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing sales or account management role within the food & beverage industry or for a marketing agency.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value sales, often requiring long-term nurturing.
  • Experience building or managing a CRM.
  • Proficiency with email outreach tools (e.g., Apollo, Gong, Instantly).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies.

**Desirable skills:**

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Experience with HubSpot, lead generation tools (e.g., Clay, Snov.io, Zoominfo), G Suite.
  • Experience working with international teams and in the specialty coffee industry.
