Descripción del empleo

You might have heard about us, but under a different name: Doctoralia. It all started 10 years ago when we asked ourselves: is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visits. We then provided doctors with technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could focus on what they always wanted: treating patients. Today, we invite you to join us in making the healthcare experience more human.

Docplanner at scale

We are leaders in 13 countries, trusted by over 50 million patients monthly. More than 300,000 specialists and 2 million bookings per month rely on us. Leading venture capital funds such as Point Nine Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and One Peak Partners have invested in us. With over 2,500 employees worldwide, we maintain a startup mindset that we've cultivated over the past decade.

How does Docplanner Tech fit here?

At Docplanner Tech, we are a diverse team of over 400 professionals in Engineering, Data, and Product. We are responsible for building our products across all locations. Many team members have been here for over five years, and we continue to welcome new talent with enthusiasm.

We could tell you more about us, but our reviews on Glassdoor speak for themselves. If you'd like to see what it's like to be your authentic self at work, here's a video of us.

And why should you join us?

Because it feels good to tell your family and friends that you've made the world a better place. You can go to bed knowing your work matters and aligns with your values.

We aim to make healthcare more human, starting with you being yourself. We believe diversity of human experience improves healthcare for all. We are not just different; we embrace diversity. We encourage you to bring your whole self to work, including the option to work remotely, as we are 100% remote-friendly.

Job Description

About the team:

The New Ventures team leads innovation, developing new ventures and cutting-edge solutions to generate revenue. Currently, we focus on establishing a cohesive noa.ai ecosystem.

One flagship initiative is Noa Notes — an AI-powered solution that automates clinical note creation during patient consultations. It listens to consultations, extracts key medical information, and generates structured notes, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on patient care. This system removes non-essential dialogue, producing concise summaries to save time, improve workflows, and enhance patient experiences.

Role

We seek a strategic leader for the Engineering Manager role in the New Ventures / Noa Medic area. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will manage multiple teams and initiatives, focusing on building high-performing teams for greenfield projects, supporting organizational processes, and fostering professional growth.

In the first six months, your focus will be on transitioning the Noa Notes project, developing strategies for its integration with other teams, and enabling rapid development of new Noa Skills. The role requires a product mindset, agility, alignment with business metrics, and a co-founder approach — we seek a partner, not just an employee.

Managing the team:

  • Lead a team of 8 senior software engineers.
  • Facilitate technical decisions aligned with requirements.
  • Work with technical and product leaders to develop strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication within and across teams.

Managing the project:

  • Define project scopes and objectives with stakeholders.
  • Act as a hands-on project manager and leader.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage trade-offs.
  • Support go-to-market strategies.

Organizing the area:

  • Support platform and infrastructure strategy development.
  • Coordinate with Data Scientists and ML/Ops teams.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and technical leaders.

Develop people:

  • Guide, mentor, and coach team members.
  • Provide feedback and support career development.
  • Assess and support performance regularly.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

What will help you thrive?

  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Passion for building robust products.
  • Understanding of product and business metrics.
  • Leadership experience in R&D, AI solutions, or related fields (preferred).
  • Proven track record in pioneering environments, especially startups.
  • Effective team-building and mentorship skills.
  • Solid technological expertise.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous and proactive approach.
  • Experience leading multiple teams (preferred).
  • Growth mindset for working in new territories.

Additional Information

Let’s talk money:

  • Competitive salary based on experience, with transparency about the range and career progression.
  • Flexible benefits via Flexoh, including meal and transportation cards, kindergarten, and training savings.
  • Share options after six months.

Work-life balance:

  • Remote or hybrid work from Barcelona.
  • Flexible hours with minimal weekly meetings.
  • Summer schedule in July and August.
  • 23 paid holidays plus optional holiday on your birthday or anniversary.

Health:

  • Private healthcare with Adeslas, subsidized for family.
  • Access to gyms through Wellhub.
  • Access to Feel, mental wellness platform.

We promote equal opportunities and embrace diversity, ensuring fair treatment and support throughout the recruitment process. We believe in respecting and valuing all human differences, fostering an inclusive environment.
