DATA SCIENTIST

Depending on your expertise and interests, application areas may include Distributed Systems, Manufacturing, Mobility, and Healthcare. The work will primarily be conducted in multidisciplinary project teams. It is essential that you have a broad understanding of your application's potential and can effectively communicate this to others.

As a Data Scientist in our team, your challenges will include:

1. Analyzing large and complex datasets to extract practical and actionable insights;
2. Using data to identify, quantify, and realize tangible business benefits;
3. Communicating data-driven insights effectively to decision makers, product owners, and team leaders;
4. Thriving in a fast-paced environment by adapting quickly and taking ownership of your work;
5. Managing innovative ideas and methods collaboratively with talented and skilled team members.

What do we expect from you?

You should be fluent in Spanish and hold an MSc or PhD in software engineering, computer science, (theoretical) physics, econometrics, statistics, scientific computing, bioinformatics, or a similar field.

With at least 3 years of relevant professional or academic experience, you should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Matlab, Python, R, Java, Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and/or noSQL;
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, Splunk, SAP, SAS, or similar;
• Experience and interest in modeling physical-technical problems, risk modeling, algorithm development, image processing, or data analysis;
• Experience processing datasets larger than 1 TB is a plus;

Knowledge of Agile methodologies is also advantageous.

Beyond technical skills, strong soft skills such as excellent communication, resilience under stress, and a team-oriented attitude are essential. Genuine motivation for the Employeneurship model at TMC is also required.
