The Position

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to help shape and deliver Roche’s new innovative data platform and ecosystem that connects diagnostics and digital products to our laboratory and hospital customers.

The Opportunity

The Product Owner (PO) is a member of the Agile Team / Squad that acts as the ‘voice of the customer’ for the team. The PO contributes to the Vision and Roadmap, clearly communicates the vision to the team, accepts stories, and continuously refines and prioritizes the team backlog.

• Lead the definition phase to build the delivery backlog.
• Lead refinement sessions with the development team to plan the delivery of value (sprint / iteration planning).
• Support the Business Product Manager in processing customer requests and prioritizing the discovery backlog.
• Contribute to the Product Management Team to prepare the features / enablers backlog for upcoming Product Increments (PI(s)).
• Socialize incoming features and enablers with the development team to elicit early feedback and prepare for the next PI, aligned with PI objectives.
• Ensure the backlog maximizes value while minimizing cost, by correctly scoping features with input from architecture, security, development, and UX concerns.
• Learn and understand all functionalities of the product.
• Manage the requirements baseline for the product.

Who You Are

• Experience working in agile methodologies; SAFe experience is a plus. Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.).
• Leadership skills to drive progress and ensure delivery commitments.
• Ability to question established norms to achieve desired outcomes.
• Experience in product management within the health domain.
• Strong understanding of customer needs and solution mapping.
• Analytical, negotiation skills, experience in writing stories and technical requirements.
• Comfortable presenting and demoing working software, and communicating with development teams from a user perspective.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Background in software development, laboratory workflows, healthcare, or biomedical engineering is a plus.
