Position: General Ledger Accountant
You will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries, reconciling financial statements, and ensuring ledger data accuracy under Sox and US GAAP standards. Working within a large organization, you will interact with diverse business partners from various departments and countries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn, implement best practices, and standardize GL tasks. It's ideal for an ambitious professional eager to learn and advance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports.
- Manage general ledger accounting, monthly reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support financial reporting and tax activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, balance sheet reconciliations, IFRS reporting, consolidation, GST/VAT, and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and commentaries.
- Collaborate with Shared Services and Finance teams on accounts payable/receivable, capital expenses, and other financial matters.
- Maintain internal controls and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and facilitate audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, and support system testing and rollouts.
- Participate in finance system and process enhancement projects and other ad hoc activities.
Position Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; regional exposure is a plus.
- Experience in Big 4 firms is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with OneStream, revenue recognition, inventory management, SOX/internal controls, and ERP systems like Oracle & SAP.
- Strong communication skills in English, team-oriented, analytical, detail-focused, and proactive.
