Postdoctoral researcher in polymer synthesis

CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a researcher for the Synthesis and Design of Polymeric Materials team.

• Design and synthesis of monomer and polymer materials with specific properties.
• Structural and physicochemical characterization : nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
• Formulation of polymer electrolytes, cell integration, and characterization.
• Processing and analysis of characterization results, providing conclusions and ideas to improve synthesis procedures and electrolyte performance.
• Participating in communication with companies and proposal preparation when required.

Qualifications :

• PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Strong background in polymer design and synthesis.
• Hands-on experience with standard procedures for polymer synthesis and characterization.
• Knowledge of polymer electrolytes and solid-state batteries is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrochemical testing methods is a plus.
• Systemic problem-solving skills.
• Good team player with the ability to collaborate with academic and industrial partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
