Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is inviting nursing professionals with at least two years of recent experience in Transplant, Cardiac, or Neuro units to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Summary : This position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages in assigned units. The nurse must demonstrate competency in addressing the behavioral, growth, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Complete timely patient admissions, ongoing assessments, and update care plans based on individual needs.
  • Provide direct care, evaluate outcomes, and incorporate family-centered care principles.
  • Monitor and document patients’ conditions and the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Assess educational needs considering cultural and other concerns, providing appropriate teaching and educational materials.
  • Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching.
  • Administer prescribed medications following policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning.
  • Carry out prescribed treatments according to policies, protocols, and educational materials.
  • Use knowledge of one's role and other professions to appropriately assess and address healthcare needs.
  • Adhere to evidence-based practices, report needed changes, and participate in evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Delegate care components appropriately within the nursing team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and promote professional interdisciplinary communication.
  • Respect patient rights and demonstrate behaviors aligned with a patient-first philosophy.
  • Incorporate the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practice.
  • Report errors and near-misses.
  • Complete charge capture education and in-service training within CCAD, ensuring charges are captured accurately in real time.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum three years of nursing education from an accredited program.
  • At least two years of post-graduate experience in a General Surgery or operating room setting.
  • Valid and current national license.
  • BLS certification from AHA or equivalent (must be obtained within 3 months of employment).
  • ACLS, PALS relevant to the specialty (must be obtained within 6 months).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and fluency in English.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.
