Shape the future of our managed Kubernetes products

Leverage your Kubernetes expertise to enhance Linode's Kubernetes Engine (LKE) product, focusing on scalability, performance, security, and capabilities, ensuring a seamless experience for developers.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for :

  • Collaborating on the roadmap for enterprise features of our managed Kubernetes platform.
  • Creating and integrating cloud-native technologies and architectural approaches.
  • Analyzing industry differentiators, applying design thinking, and developing solutions from initial idea to release.
  • Enabling easy deployment and operation of Kubernetes clusters for customers.
  • Collaborating in an Agile environment to sustain a product portfolio.
  • Fostering an environment that encourages innovative solutions, rapid development, and open communication.

To be successful in this role, you will :

  • Have relevant experience and education in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Have extensive experience building scalable Kubernetes Platform Clusters with Cloud Native technologies.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as Operator creation, Cluster API, and CNI.
  • Be experienced with Container Runtimes (e.g., Docker, containers).
  • Demonstrate significant experience with Linux, Go, Python.
  • Be familiar with Agile practices and software development life cycles.
  • Have experience managing a small team (2-3 engineers), including breaking down work, resolving blockers, and owning feature delivery.
