Role Overview

We are expanding our team in Spain to deliver engineering design services, seeking an Associate Civil Engineer with experience in infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical guidance on potable water and wastewater pipelines and treatment works.
  2. Lead and develop design teams, ensuring project needs are met.
  3. Manage project delivery to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  4. Review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  5. Collaborate with clients and contractors to deliver projects.
  6. Build relationships to enhance reputation and secure future work.
  7. Support commercial success through forecasting, risk management, and bids.
  8. Coordinate resources and develop team capabilities.
  9. Assist in business development, proposals, and tenders.
  10. Ensure compliance with technical standards and client requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Chartered status (CEng) with a recognized professional body.
  • Experience leading technical projects in pipelines, sewers, and treatment civil design.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across disciplines.
  • Commitment to professional development and technical innovation.

Desirable:

  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience in team building and client engagement.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of CDM responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with digital tools like Civils 3D, GIS, hydraulic modeling.
  • Experience with low carbon solutions and UK water sector beneficial.
