About the role

Location: Spain - Home office friendly.

As a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in high-performance systems, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of Fever’s live-entertainment platform. We’re seeking someone with proven software development excellence, a keen eye for code quality, and a drive to get things done right. What will you do at Fever?

  1. First month: Fully integrate into the team, participate in planning, grooming, and retrospectives. Familiarize yourself with Fever’s tech stack, CI/CD workflows, and operational infrastructure. Attend Fever Original experiences like Candlelight.
  2. After 3 months: Propose solutions to challenging problems, from architecture design to implementation. Create production-grade Python code designed to handle high levels of traffic. Participate in hackathons and build strong relationships with the engineering team.
  3. After 6 months: Take on responsibilities for different parts of the system, analyze user usage, and evolve the platform. Mentor team members through code reviews, architecture design sessions, and pair programming. Redesign major workflows to improve scalability, performance, and geographical distribution.

About you

Must have skills: Strong knowledge of good practices, testing, and design patterns. Proficiency in business English. Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, ideally PostgreSQL. Proficiency in using Datadog or similar profiling tools and monitoring systems.

Ideally, experience with: Python (Django/Flask), Redis, service communication, Celery with RabbitMQ, handling high request volumes, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Attractive compensation: base salary €50,000-€65,000, total €67,500-€90,000 including bonus and stock options.
