Position: DevOps / Cloud Engineer

Join our team working with a highly digitalized top bank customer in the US & UK markets.

  1. Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to in-house developed front-end applications within a cross-functional engineering team.
  2. Maintain oversight of managed systems, continuously improving to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
  3. Enhance the reliability, monitoring, and observability of services deployed within AWS in a complex, distributed environment.
  4. Identify opportunities to reduce operational overheads through observability and automation.
  5. Define, implement, and meet service level objectives.
  6. Participate in system design, platform management, and service reviews.
  7. Be willing to be part of a 24/7 on-call rota (additional pay).

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience with Cloud architecture and adoption patterns (AWS preferred, others like Azure, GCP are a plus).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Strong experience with containers and orchestrators such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of distributed backend systems with proven performance, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, Logz.io).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira).
  • Good English skills (C1 level).

Work Details:

100% remote within Spain. Business hours, with no intensive Fridays or summer schedules.
