Acciona Energy India is seeking candidates for the position of Electrical Engineering Lead in the Engineering and Construction Department.

Job Description

Mission : To execute activities within the Construction area, coordinating with the Engineering team, Project Management, and other departments.

Responsibilities :

• Possess strong experience in electrical engineering and SCADA systems in a technical role.
• Experience with Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) based solar and wind projects.
• Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD 3D and other calculation tools.
• Conduct early project phase network connection feasibility assessments, design option studies, value engineering, risk assessments, and safety evaluations, including Safety in Design.
• Collaborate with the grid connection team to develop electrical balance of plant designs compliant with the Indian Electricity Grid Code.
• Engage with TNSPs and private grid operators to address connection constraints and requirements.
• Deliver concept and detailed electrical designs for solar and wind farm projects.
• Participate in project constructability reviews and assessments.
• Support project CAPEX and construction schedule development for financial decision-making.
• Develop technical specifications and scopes of work; assist in procurement negotiations.
• Perform engineering due diligence and manage outsourced design works.
• Support project delivery during construction and handover, including site visits.
• Coordinate energization and commissioning processes, including SCADA, protection systems, and grid code testing.
• Provide technical advice on electrical failures, incidents, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop technical specifications for operational rectification works.
• Assist in commissioning and system upgrades.
• Offer professional electrical engineering advice for in-house and third-party projects.
• Help develop tender documents for bids and contracting opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure adherence to technical standards and procedures.

Required Skills and Competencies

Education : BE / B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics from a reputed university.

Experience : 5 to 7 years in Renewable Energy (Wind and Solar).
