Nodus 2025 Contemporary Dance Residency (Spain)

This project is designed to promote, expand, and innovate the contemporary dance repertoire for dancers from all over the world, of all nationalities and ages. The activity aims to artistically unite the Castellón region through culture, thanks to the collaboration between the Fundación Caixa Castelló, Cinctorres City Council, Tírig City Council, and the Diputación de Castelló.

The dance residency will take place from 7 to 13 July 2025, in Cinctorres, under the coordination of choreographer Toni Aparisi and Alfredo Llopico, cultural technician at Fundación Caixa Castelló, with the support of the City Council staff.

The residency includes collective work; each participant will develop their own piece with collaboration from others. The number of performers per piece is 6 or 7 if the creator participates. There are no restrictions on duration or technique; it is recommended to include elements linked to the region of Los Ports. The minimum duration of the piece is between 5 and 10 minutes.

There will be two public presentations : in Cinctorres on 12 July and in Tírig on 13 July.

Support

• Travel : up to 250 EUR for participants from within Spain; for international participants, a proportional grant will be established based on their place of origin
• Accommodation in Cinctorres
• Meals during the residency
• Collective transport will be provided from Castelló
• Remunerated performance : possibility of performing at the Sala Sant Miquel (Castelló), starting in September 2025.
