RF Laboratory Test Engineer

Sener Aerospace & Defence is currently looking for a RF laboratory test engineer to join our team at our Cerdanyola (Barcelona) work center. We are hiring engineers for the RF / EMC / Electronics test laboratory in the MAIT Area (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test).

Our passion has led us to demonstrate our capabilities in programmes for the most important space agencies, such as ESA, NASA, or JAXA. We supply electromechanical, navigation (CNG / AOCS), communications, and power supply systems for satellites in Earth orbit and interplanetary exploration.

What you will do :

The main duties and responsibilities will be :

• Operate state-of-the-art RF Laboratory equipment from DC up to 67 GHz (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators...).
• Design and define test benches, test equipment, and software to meet customer requirements through test bench automation.
• Test devices onboard satellites (Radiometers, Transceivers, LNAs, Receivers, Downconverters, Local Oscillators, DC / DC Converters,...).
• Participate in customer meetings such as Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Test Review Boards (TRB).
• Collaborate in investigating Non-Conformance Requirements (NCRs) within a multidisciplinary team.
• Share knowledge with the test team and contribute to continuous area improvement.

What we expect from you :

• Degree or master's in Telecommunication or Electronic Engineering.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with communication buses such as SpaceWire and J1553.
• Knowledge of EMC Testing.
• Programming skills in Python for test automation and reporting.
• Proficiency in English.
