Biology Teacher

SEK International School Catalunya needs to incorporate a Biology Teacher Substitution for 28 of August 2025.

Mission:

Empowering students to become inquirers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners through the exploration of biology, life processes, natural phenomena, environmental dynamics, and effective communication strategies.

Functions:

• Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for the subject, and other areas within the department.
• Take part in standardizing assessment tasks.
• Contribute to curriculum research and improvement.
• Stay updated on the IB program guides taught.

Requirements:

• Degree in Biology or Natural Sciences
• Teaching experience, preferably in IB programmes (MYP and/or Diploma) in the areas of Biology and Geology
• Native speaker level of English
• Microsoft Office user and experience with other educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics.
• Experience with educational laboratory practices to enhance classroom dynamics and promote ths scientific method

We offer:

• Fulltime Contract: 9:30 - 17:10 h.
• Substitution contract
• Location: La Garriga - Barcelona
• Salary: according to the private schools agreement
