Within the ABSER Business Line, we are looking for a Piping and Layout Specialist Lead to be employed in the MILAN Plant Design department.

In this position, the resource will be involved in:

• Designing plant layouts for upstream industrial plants in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, with a focus on modular skids projects, plant layout development, and handling;
• Developing critical piping routing from process diagrams, plot plans, and elevation plans, considering constraints such as accessibility, maintainability, safety, thermal gradients, and material costs;
• Counting piping materials based on P&ID and plot plans;
• Interpreting technical specifications to identify critical aspects;
• Analyzing and interpreting contractual clauses and customer requirements critically;
• Supervising piping engineering activities produced by external subcontractors or other Saipem engineering centers;
• Ensuring the execution of piping engineering activities in compliance with costs and schedules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or a specialized diploma;
• Knowledge of English at B2 / C1 level;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in upstream oil & gas projects, with knowledge of major international codes and standards;
• IT Skills: Knowledge of Office suite, AutoCAD 2D, SmartPlant 3D and/or Aveva E3D, and knowledge or experience with Caesar II.

Location : Milano HQ. Availability to travel abroad to offices and construction sites.

Contract Type : Permanent, salary package commensurate with experience.
