Sr. DevOps Engineer

Climate change is causing deep uncertainty at all levels of society, with climate volatility reducing the security of land-based assets and posing security threats to enterprises, societies, and governments.

Mitiga is a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, home to MareNostrum, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers.

Our mission is to utilize advanced science and technology to mitigate climate-related risks, from real-time forecasts to century-long projections. We also transfer risks to capital markets via catastrophe bonds to enhance climate resilience and equity.

What you will do

• Develop and integrate solutions in a cloud environment : Turn requirements into product components, collaborate with team members, perform testing, and maintain documentation.
• Implement automations and integrations : Enhance efficiency through automation, identifying improvement opportunities to focus on strategic development.
• Promote an infrastructure-as-code approach : Manage application and infrastructure planning, testing, and development with shared accountability to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Maintain CI / CD pipelines : Select and deploy CI / CD tools, improve pipelines, and implement GitOps practices.
• Support platform deployment and incident response : Collaborate with the team to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application and infrastructure reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the field
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering
• Experience with Git, cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), Terraform, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana), Bash, Python, Jenkins / GitHub Actions, high availability systems, microservices architecture, and HPC systems
