We seek a PMO Specialist to enhance our project management and investment portfolio tracking (CAPEX). The role involves managing the project portfolio efficiently, developing procedures, standards, and best practices for project governance. Our diverse project environment includes IT projects (agile), maintenance/sustaining projects, and commercial projects (waterfall).
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control project CAPEX spending, ensuring budget adherence and managing deviations.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, identifying risks and recommending cost optimizations.
- Assist in annual CAPEX budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare project management reports through data collection and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and other tools for CAPEX and project tracking, including KPI monitoring.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose solutions.
- Support initiative prioritization and portfolio alignment with company strategy.
- Develop standards, procedures, tools, and best practices for project management and governance.
- Share lessons learned from completed projects.
- Ensure integration of all business units in project management and CAPEX control.
- Collaborate with Project and Portfolio Managers to improve governance.
- Train teams on project management best practices and tools.
- Maintain effective communication across teams and countries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; additional certifications (PMP, Prince2) are a plus.
- Experience in CAPEX analysis, project management, and governance.
- Proficiency in English for international communication.
- Strong analytical, proactive, and process improvement skills.
- Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior management.
- Experience in training teams on project management tools and practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Resilience and motivation to face challenges.
