In December 2024, Boomi acquired Rivery, a SaaS ELT tool. To support the rapid enablement of the Rivery sales cycle, differentiators, and processes for 200+ Boomi salespeople, the Rivery sales team became a specialist overlay team to the global organization. This means that the primary Account Executive (AE) or Account Manager (AM) is responsible for working with the prospect or client, while the Rivery Specialist actively assists the Boomi AE/AM through the sales, renewal, and upsell processes.

This is a unique role that combines sales understanding with deep product and industry knowledge.

This role is hybrid: 3 days in our Barcelona office and 2 days remote.

AM Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Support 40 current Rivery customers in Europe by assisting each Boomi AM.
  • Train on our renewals playbook, including pricing and negotiation best practices, to oversee implementation in each account.
  • Analyze Rivery product usage to identify upsell opportunities.
  • Assist in rolling out new pricing plans to current customers (from May 1st, 2025).
  • Attend calls with clients to support Boomi AMs in executing these activities.

AE Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Support 4 sales teams (24 reps) based in Barcelona to upsell Rivery within existing Boomi accounts and to new logos.
  • Become an expert in the Rivery sales playbook, processes, POC best practices, differentiators, and pricing to assist Boomi AEs.
  • Support phased enablement of sales teams to sell Rivery independently over 2025.

To successfully acquire new customers, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, leveraging your knowledge of Boomi and Rivery solutions.
  • Use strategic probing to evaluate and propose business solutions.
  • Analyze market factors to anticipate customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Engage cross-functional resources to meet customer goals.
  • Develop account plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Build confidence with prospects through professionalism and expertise.

To align activities with Boomi’s sales goals, you will:

  • Forecast future sales accurately.
  • Implement pipeline and growth strategies.
  • Report on key sales metrics.
  • Conduct territory planning.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 2-6 years in relationship selling.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and Modern Data Stack tools.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written; other European languages are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with MEDDPICC sales methodology preferred.
  • French and Spanish language skills are a plus.
