Legal Counsel - Commercial & Digital Law

We are looking for a Legal Counsel – Commercial & Digital Law to provide strategic legal support across multiple regions, including Spain, North Africa, Egypt, and the UAE.

Main Tasks

• Providing high quality hands-on legal support with a business partner mindset to various stakeholders within our sales region (Spain, North Africa, Egypt, Dubai (UAE)).
• Drafting, negotiation and review of commercial agreements, including among others, sales, professional service, distribution, agency, manufacturing and supply, NDA and software license agreements.
• Providing legal advice on technology-related issues in three business segments : Digital Security, Financial Platforms and Currency Technology.
• Drafting clear and comprehensible memoranda on different legal matters (laws applicable in the EU and EMEA) and managing lawyers from other jurisdictions where appropriate;
• Collaborate with G+D’s Global Legal Team;
• Litigation support for legal claims, managing actual and threatened litigation on commercial claims as a plaintiff and defendant.
• Monitoring and analyzing legislative developments in the areas and jurisdictions of the company's operations.
• Maintain records, control and optimize the workflow of legal documentation.

Your Profile

Commercial lawyer with at least 5 years professional experience acquired in an international business group, preferably in an IT company.

Requirements.

• Graduated in law and Master’s Degree in Digital Law and New Technologies from a Spanish or EU educational institution;
• Proven experience in national and international contract law, especially in the areas of IT, intellectual and industrial property law with particular reference to Software Licenses (EULA, Open Source, SaaS, etc.) and IT solutions / applications;
• Knowledge on digital products and business models to serve our customers in the finance and mobile communication industries as well as on cybersecurity is a must. Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT and their business application, will be an advantage;
• Excellence communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, in English, French and Spanish;
• Organized professional (meticulous, diligent with attention to detail) with an entrepreneurial and proactive nature, highly motivated, curious and eager to learn new things, particularly in the technological field;
• Ability to work independently and in a multinational and multicultural environment;
• Ability to adapt to changing and technological environments; and
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
