We're looking for a skilled and motivated Draftsperson to join the Summit Developments / Granny Flats team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality working drawings to support both Building License applications and construction, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across a diverse range of residential projects.

You'll be working closely with the Drafting Manager, internal departments, engineers, and local authorities to ensure smooth progression of jobs from design to delivery. Projects will vary from standard Granny Flats to complex custom homes and multi-unit developments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate and detailed working drawings using ArchiCAD 24 or above.
  • Supporting a variety of projects, including standard, custom, and multi-unit designs.
  • Liaising with internal teams, engineers, and external authorities to finalise documentation.
  • Identifying and resolving construction challenges early to reduce site issues.

About You

You're an experienced and detail-driven Draftsperson with a solid understanding of residential construction in Western Australia. You take pride in producing quality work, enjoy solving problems, and thrive in a collaborative environment where accuracy and efficiency matter.

You're confident working with ArchiCAD and can manage deadlines while juggling multiple projects. You're proactive, communicative, and always looking to improve outcomes for both the team and the client.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in drafting for residential construction with sound knowledge of WA building practices, the NCC, and R-Codes.
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD 24 or higher, with strong 2D and 3D drafting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
