Senior Backend Developer

Project Description: As a Senior Backend Developer, you will augment a high-profile team of business analysts, solution architects, and developers working on a strategic project for Group Accumulation Management.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing the integration solution based on business requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle. A sound knowledge of agile software development, data modeling, and a strong interest in deepening domain knowledge in Commercial Insurance, Risk & Accumulation Management are essential.

Responsibilities: Your main accountabilities will include: working with IT Solution Architects to clarify business requirements and estimate development efforts; managing task breakdowns and implementing user stories; collaborating with Quality Assurance teams on issue reporting, resolution, and change control; assisting other teams with troubleshooting application or integration issues.

Mandatory Skills include:

• Methodologies: Software craftsmanship, agile mindset, experience with test-driven development, understanding of test concepts (e.g., Test Pyramid, e2e testing), creating and executing unit and integration tests, monitoring and debugging frontend flows, continuous integration practices using Azure DevOps.
• Analysis & Design: Transforming high-level design into low-level design and implementation.
• Programming Skills: Over 5 years of .NET development experience including unit testing; over 5 years of database experience (MS SQL Server or similar); experience with full SDLC and iterative (Agile) development lifecycle using DevOps tools like Azure DevOps Pipelines; experience with XML, GIT/TFS, code coverage, and static analysis tools like SonarQube or Veracode; experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework or Dapper; API development, MVC, Web Forms; experience with test doubles in C#; understanding of event-driven architectures, CQRS, and SOLID principles; 2-3 years of designing and implementing cloud solutions on Azure; strong adherence to clean code practices; knowledge of PowerBI.
• Azure Skills: At least one Microsoft Azure Associate certification; experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid); creating workflows, orchestrating processes, messaging, API publishing, eventing topology; Azure governance; Azure networking concepts; programming with Durable Azure Functions and Azure SQL Server clients.
