PDG Media is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a sales role, ideally within the food & beverage sector or marketing agencies. Specialty coffee knowledge or industry connections are a significant bonus.

About PDG Media

PDG Media is a specialist GTM & marketing agency operating in the F&B sector, with a focus on specialty coffee. We are part of the PDG Global media group, which includes trade publications such as Perfect Daily Grind & Coffee Intelligence, as well as the Producer & Roaster Forum. We are launching a new initiative in 2025 called the Global Coffee Awards.

We offer two full-time, permanent roles for candidates based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe. The roles are predominantly remote with occasional in-person meet-ups. The successful candidate will enjoy engaging with people daily, identifying business opportunities, and strategizing to close deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the pipeline for strategic project sales, including targeting customers, nurturing leads, and closing deals.
  • Work closely with the COO to develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and meet revenue targets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients at all levels to identify needs and relay information to the team.
  • Identify and pursue new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and sponsors.
  • Define and adjust the ideal customer profile as needed.
  • Negotiate renewals and upsell services to clients.
  • Coordinate with the digital projects team for project launches.
  • Collaborate with the publishing team to meet client needs.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates to leadership.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing sales or account management role within the food & beverage industry or marketing agencies.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-value sales, often requiring long-term nurturing.
  • Experience with CRM systems and email outreach tools (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, Gong, Snov.io).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of specialty coffee industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with international teams and using G Suite.
