Kick-start your career in Market Risk with our exciting two-year graduate opportunity based in Gibraltar. From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience on the Market Risk desk, working closely with experienced professionals and collaborating with teams across our global offices. You’ll play a key role in daily P&L reporting, volume exposure analysis, stock control, and performance monitoring across regions such as Europe and the Americas.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with Traders internally to ensure data is accurate and timely; and, with the physical operations teams for reviewing all stock movements, either in-tank, barges, waterborne, in pipe, etc (delivered or to be delivered); Reviewing and checking daily physical and paper transactions have been posted correctly, and also to ensure the hedging is carried out correctly each day; Providing commercial analysis; specifically, monthly commercial performance measures, fixed cost reporting and analysis, analysis of pricing and basis risk around physical operations; Analyse the operative performance of Peninsula barges (loadings, deliveries, transfers, loss control) and terminals and look for cost reduction opportunities Ensuring integrity of data through the implementation and use of suitable controls; Help to implement process and system improvements to streamline activities Work closely with the Finance team at month end to ensure accurate reporting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential : Bachelor’s (minimum 2 : 1) or Master’s degree completed in the last 2 years, ideally in a STEM subject Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong level of Excel Demonstrable interest in Commodities, Shipping or Financial markets (extra-curricular activities, work experience, internships) A positive attitude and keenness to learn Professional level of English British or EU Passport holder

Desirable Other languages especially Spanish is a bonus
