Responsibilities:
Support and coordinate the development of body components (BIW, closures, exterior & interior trim) during the product development phase.
Collaborate with design, simulation, testing, and manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility and design robustness.
Maintain awareness of project milestones and deadlines by communicating regularly with the Project Lead.
Prepare essential documentation such as Technical Specifications, DFMEA, and DVP, adhering to lead times and cost constraints.
Handle engineering change requests and support the release process within PLM systems.
Conduct technical follow-ups with suppliers to gather information on lead times, part availability, and costs.
Organize weekly meetings with suppliers to track progress and achieve manufacturing design (DFM) goals.
Ensure component performance, manufacturability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Provide technical input for cost, weight, and material optimization.
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience in the development of body components and systems.
Knowledge of Mechatronics and Kinematics, especially applied to closures and moving components.
Understanding of vehicle safety regulations.
Proficiency in CATIA for 3D design and integration.
Experience with PLM systems (SAP) and MS Office tools.

Availability for travel: 50% in Barcelona and 50% at customer sites across Europe.
