Senior Medical Writer (with Italian)

About The Role

The Medical Writer / Technical Reviewer will be responsible for ensuring the scientific accuracy, quality of data and references, appropriate style, and correct branding of scientific/medical assets for the sponsor globally. The role involves working in an international, cross-functional environment, adhering to global and local guidelines, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality assets and gather data on asset quality and agency performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform data and referencing quality checks of scientific/medical assets, ensuring content is scientifically accurate and properly supported by reference documents.
2. Review content to identify non-compliances with local regulatory guidelines.
3. Utilize the Review and Approval platform (Veeva Vault) for tasks such as reference tagging or claims object creation.
4. Verify anchors and links to references supporting the scientific/medical assets.
5. Identify assets requiring pre-alignment with internal stakeholders.
6. Flag claims that may be difficult to substantiate or do not comply with regulatory or internal guidelines.
7. Track asset quality data for internal and external reporting purposes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Writer or Medical Content Reviewer with a scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or Master’s) and experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry.
• Excellent medical writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple detailed activities efficiently.
• Good communication, coordination, and time management skills.
• Fluent in oral and written English and Italian.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including remotely.
• Valuing teamwork, diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
• Experience in content creation for Biotech/Pharma is advantageous.
• Experience in therapeutic areas such as Metabolism, Cardiovascular Diseases, Chronic Kidney Disease, Respiratory, or Inflammation is advantageous.
• Experience with the Pharmaceutical Content Review process and Veeva Vault is advantageous.
