RIS-CC is a Private Foundation that governs, directs, and manages the Research and Innovation Institute in Life and Health Sciences in Central Catalonia. It is the result of a strategic alliance between 17 academic, health, and social institutions in Central Catalonia and its area of influence.
The mission of IRIS-CC is to generate scientific knowledge in life and health sciences, oriented towards the needs and improvement of people's quality of life; as well as creating an innovative ecosystem that fosters territorial development and provides the products and services demanded by society.
In August 2024, the IRIS-CC Foundation received the 'HR Excellence in Research' recognition from the European Commission. The “Human Resources Strategy for Researchers” is based on the Researcher’s Charter and the Employers' Code of Conduct. The implementation of the HRS4R is a quality seal that demonstrates that a research center's HR policy is adequate at a European level.
Objective : We are looking for an expert with a proven track record in the field of talent acquisition and European project management.
In addition to the technical competencies required for being part of the expert team at IRIS-CC, it is essential to bring a set of transversal skills of added value, such as : proactivity, versatility, communication skills, a high level of commitment and confidentiality, problem-solving abilities, customer service orientation, organizational and management skills, emotional management, among others.

Job Position : Specialist in Talent Acquisition and Manager of European Projects for the IRIS-CC Foundation’s Human Resources and European Projects Unit.
Reporting Line :
To the General Management regarding HR-related aspects.
To the Head of the Projects Unit concerning European project management.
The person we are looking for will report to management and the project leader and must work in collaboration with the entire executive structure of IRIS-CC.
Main functions :
Human Resources (Talent Acquisition) :
- Support the implementation of IRIS-CC's human resources strategy, particularly regarding the HR Excellence in Research seal.
- Coordinate actions related to the policy of talent recruitment, retention, and development, especially internationally.
- Collaborate in the implementation and monitoring of the equality plan, the OTM-R policy, and other instruments related to HR management in research.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and welcoming processes for researchers, technicians, and managers, in coordination with management and the founding institutions.
- Participate in actions to promote, communicate, and internationalize the research talent.
European Projects :
- Support the preparation and submission of proposals for Horizon Europe calls and other European programs (MSCA, ERC, EU4Health, Interreg, LIFE, etc.).
- Assist researchers with the technical and administrative preparation of proposals : document collection, deadline management, support in writing and budget setup.
- Manage relationships with international partners and participate in consortium meetings, if applicable.
- Support the implementation and technical and economic follow-up of granted European projects, in collaboration with the management team.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of procedures and tools for the Projects Unit and in the updating of databases and information systems (Fundanet, European portals...).
- Energize the research groups affiliated with IRIS-CC to promote their active participation in international calls, identify tailored opportunities, and follow their strategic research and innovation interests.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree (MECES 2, 3, 4, and pre-Bologna diplomas and degrees).
- Knowledge of European research and innovation calls (H2020, Horizon Europe, MSCA…).
- Knowledge and experience in HR management within research, especially in the recruitment of national and international talent.
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams, result-oriented with organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Advanced level of Catalan and Spanish.
- High level of English.
- Knowledge and / or experience in the research sector.
- Experience in preparing successful proposals for Horizon Europe or H2020.
- Previous experience in supporting the selection and recruitment of research teams (e.g., MSCA, ERC).
- Knowledge of HR management regulations.
- Participation in processes linked to the HR Excellence in Research seal and / or the implementation of OTM-R policies.
- Knowledge of the Fundanet system or other research management systems.
- Experience in interdisciplinary and multi-center environments.
