Head of Business Operations and Finance

The Director of Operations & Finance will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of day-to-day operations while maintaining financial health and efficiency. This strategic leader will oversee supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, legal and finance functions, ensuring alignment with company growth targets and values. He / she will provide the leadership and management necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.

The position accomplishes this through a proactive, anticipatory, respectful, constructive, and energetic style that complements the founders and other members of the leadership team and is guided by the business and financial objectives of HU & Glow.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Operational & Financial Strategy & Efficiency
• Lead daily business operations including production, inventory and distribution
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Develop operational KPIs and reporting systems to track performance

Supply Chain Management

• Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
• Ensure timely procurement and optimize inventory levels to meet demand
• Negotiate contracts and maintain accountability across partners

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and external regulations (e.g., FDA)
• Oversee documentation and reporting for compliance purposes

Finance

• Manage financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Track operational expenses and implement cost-saving strategies
• Oversee cash flow management, accounts, and internal financial controls

Customer Experience & Fulfillment

• Supervise order fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with logistics and customer service to resolve issues and streamline workflows

Investor Relations

• Maintain and update financial models and projections
• Support due diligence processes and assist with investor communications
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing teams
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture aligned with company values
• Sets stretch objectives with team to outperform for customers
• Product Development Support
• Partner with product teams to align operational capabilities with launch timelines
• Anticipate production needs and resource allocation for new SKUs
• Implement and maintain systems for inventory, finance, and order management
• Leverage data to drive informed operational and strategic decisions

Scaling & Growth Management

• Embody and nurture an entrepreneurial approach to operational growth
• Develop scalable systems and processes to support growth across markets
• Anticipate operational bottlenecks and proactively resolve them

IP & Legal Oversight

• Ensure proper filing, maintenance, and management of intellectual property and legal documents
• Liaise with external counsel as needed

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years in operations, finance, or general management, ideally in CPG, wellness, or beauty sectors
• Experience in the US market is a great advantage
• Demonstrated experience managing supply chains, budgeting, and cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to build and manage financial models and cash flow
• Deep understanding of operational systems (ERP, CRM, inventory tools, etc.)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
• Highly proactive with a strong sense of urgency and ownership

Location : Remote (Schedule adaptability required; founder is based between New York & Madrid)
