Software Test Engineer and Chapter Leader - Modulab

This is a dual role, combining responsibilities of a Software Test Engineer and a Chapter Leader / People Manager.

The Chapter Lead is a technologist who leverages extensive technical expertise to identify and implement relevant technology solutions and tools that enhance product delivery. They contribute to squads as an active member, where the success of the squads is their primary focus. Additionally, they serve as the functional manager of their chapter, overseeing employee management and skill development within the chapter.

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for verification and validation activities related to clinical solutions software, including planning, designing, developing test procedures, and reporting results and defects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage People activities for Chapter staff.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.
  • Participate in solving complex technical problems, acting as an expert or coordinating consultations with specialists.
  • Contribute hands-on to all aspects of product delivery within their squad, following the Job Description from the Technological Track.
  • Promote and implement chapter standards and best practices collaboratively with other chapter leads.
  • Ensure functional coherence within the chapter.
  • Seek out new knowledge and practices to improve chapter performance.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among Chapter members across Squads.
  • Organize training initiatives to support team growth.
  • Coordinate test activities with the Solution Leader and monitor compliance with Quality System procedures.
  • Bring expertise in testing domains such as Automation, Performance, Cybersecurity, Test Architecture, DevTestOps, and Usability, including generating relevant metrics.
  • Potentially generate test documentation like Test Plans, Test Summaries, Test Results Matrices, and Unresolved Anomalies lists.
  • Possibly oversee Cyber by Design (CbD) testing activities for projects.
  • Participate in Hazard Analysis (HA / FMEA), leading risk management testing to ensure traceability to safety requirements and risk mitigation, including creating Risk TRMX documentation.
  • Utilize advanced technologies to innovate in testing and development processes.
  • Design scalable infrastructure for test execution.
  • Identify new frameworks and methods to accelerate the testing lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with squad members to implement user stories, develop tests, and deliver improved product features continuously.
  • Communicate effectively with various teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation.
