BUNGE has an exciting opportunity available for a Middle Office Analyst . In this role, you will be providing daily support to the Commercial team on operational activities, including financial and position backup, translating trading activities into daily position and P&L reports. You will serve as a central contact for trading operations tasks, supporting trade flow verifications, transaction accuracy, and ensuring data consistency across departments and systems. Additionally, you will drive automation and efficiency improvements in reporting processes and tools.

Some responsibilities of the Middle Office Analyst include :

  • Trade Administration / Trade Support (Daily Positions & P&L)
  • Producing accurate and reliable daily VC Commodity Positions & P&L reports, including updating / reconciling cash / flat activities, freight positions, and coordinating vessel execution impacts.
  • Monitoring pricing and confirming contracts / execution / traders, tracking changes for accuracy.
  • Reconciling and publishing daily position & P&L reports.
  • Sending trade slips to contract admin and managing interoffice futures transfers for Geneva sales.
  • Consolidate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to meet reporting needs.
  • Prepare and explain daily P&L changes, analyzing main drivers.
  • Support the commercial team with information, assistance, and analysis.
  • Optimize Excel reports to reduce manual tasks, errors, and improve speed.
  • Handle ad hoc reports, projects, and other duties as needed.

Pre-Load Execution

  • Ensure consistency of operations and contractual changes with traders and operations teams.

Extra Costs / Bad Debt

  • Review accruals, extra costs, and Bad Debts reports.
  • Follow up with commercial and finance teams on drivers and impacts.

Closing the books

  • Collect, review, and confirm month-end inputs.
  • Reconcile monthly results with accounting.
  • Coordinate across functions to resolve gaps during month-end closing.

Results analysis

  • Conduct margin analysis to identify main drivers and structures.

Skills and experience required :

  • University degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or control, preferably in commodity trading.
  • Good knowledge of SAP.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and understanding of commodity trading and mark-to-market.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, prioritize tasks, and pay attention to details.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
