This role leads all sourcing and purchasing activities of technical equipment and supplies. It is the key senior point of contact for suppliers and internal colleagues, overseeing sourcing and purchasing to support our growing operations.

Areas of Responsibility:

Supplier Management

  • Serve as the key point of contact internally and externally, managing relationships with all suppliers of technical equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, both formally and informally.
  • Ensure appropriate commercial agreements, SLAs, and operational procedures are in place for reliable, compliant sourcing.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and recommend improvements.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal supply and positive company reputation.
  • Use industry knowledge to identify opportunities and risks, implementing plans to maximize benefits or mitigate issues.

Pricing, Negotiation, and Purchasing

  • Source and purchase a wide range of technical equipment and supplies.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Ensure the existence of second and third-tier suppliers for critical areas.
  • Ensure timely delivery and resolve issues promptly to maintain relationships and reputation.
  • Act as escalation point for issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders for confident technical buying decisions.
  • Communicate progress, issues, and trends effectively to stakeholders.
  • Update on industry developments to support tactical and strategic planning.

Processes and Procedures

  • Conduct market research on industry trends.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Engineer or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certification or Master’s in Supply Chain Management or Procurement, or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a technical procurement role.
  • High proficiency in English (C1) and native Spanish.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
