Job Description

Schneider has started a journey to UNIFY its Business Processes, across the different Business Model – Transactional, Projects, Service and Software, to:

  • Simplify the life of our people.
  • Standardize our business processes and IT landscape to react and scale faster.
  • Harmonize our data foundations to drive better decisions.
  • Enhance our customers’ and suppliers’ digital journeys.

Impact

This major project, which is sponsored and driven by the ExCom to design and implement the way Schneider Electric will operate over the next 20 years, will involve hundreds of stakeholders, and needs extraordinarily strong coordination and stakeholder management.

We have decided to deploy the Fit2Standard approach with the following steps:

  • Leverage SAP process map as a starting point
  • Together with Order2Cash / GSC / Finance and Data Unify Domains, extend them to cover an End2End scope covering the complete digital and data architecture (ERP + Global apps)
  • Engage with countries to review, adopt, and validate what will become the Schneider global standard processes to drive our business.

Contribution

The Business Process Owner on Data Migration plays a crucial role as the catalyst for OX processes, working closely with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and SAP.

This individual ensures that all data migration activities are strategically planned, maintaining consistency and high-quality data uploads. Execution happens in full coordination with key stakeholders, including Central Data & Performance Team, Regional & Local Deployment Managers, Country/Zone Data Teams and Stream Leaders

He/she will be actively involved in all interactions with Business Process Owners (BPOs), ensuring seamless collaboration. Their key responsibilities include, defining development needs and identifying necessary corrective actions to enhance data accuracy and efficiency. And, contributing to the creation of the Front Office Template, ensuring it aligns with data migration standards and organizational requirements.

He/she is accountable for the planning, preparation, and coordination of data-related activities. This includes, Business Processes, ERP Specifications, Integration specification and links to Best of Breed solution to ensure E2E process is successfully implemented.

  • Prepare and implement the Front Office Template across all Business Streams; Transactional, Projects, Equipment, Service & Software, defined details, and planning actions & resources needed.
  • Together with Stream Leaders, BPOs and SAP experts plan, implement, anticipate risks and manage all dependencies relative to the Font Office Template
  • Become the trusted advisor for BPOs during the Template creation.
  • Coordinate and bring the voice of BPOs and SAP experts to the central team. Bring the point of concerns and development needed.

Main responsabilities

  • Coordinates/monitor the Front Office Template for the deployment. Define the actions to make the BPOs and SAP are ready and animate accordingly.
    • Readiness
    • Assessment of the GAP between target standard solution
    • Acknowledge the digital landscape: integration, data & SAP expertise.
  • Support the profiling and the placement of the needed resources and make sure they are staffed in each Domain/Business Unit
  • Provide support to the Project Data Migration Manager related to Data Migration Organization, Methodology, Processes, and tools at area level:
    • Facilitate organization of necessary knowledge transfer and training
    • Manage installation of Data Migration tools and check availability when needed.
    • Is the first point of contact of the project Data Migration manager regarding escalation process to global team.
  • Supervise, with the local Project Data Migration manager, definition of
    • Data Migration overall planning
    • Data migration scope of the project, formalized with the Data Migration Map (DMM)
    • Data load plan (DLP)
  • Participate to definition of life cycle Regional/Local Data Management organization:
    • Provide necessary support to the project and/or local activities.
    • Optimize the Data Management organization area.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills with a team-oriented approach.
  • Be able to find the best common solution between different stakeholders, when starting from different opinions.
  • Ability to work within an international environment, embracing different mindsets.
  • Capability to directly interact with Senior leaders, both in countries and at Global level.
  • Mastery of data model in SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP MDG (on premise & cloud), Informatica (MOM), ETL tools, Data file preparation, Data validation, RPA/automation
  • Ability to find solutions to solve issues (vs. report problems).
  • Strong project management skills to follow up on actions points decided after workshops and make sure results are delivered within agreed deadlines.
  • Understands and leverages cultural differences to make UNIFY successful.
  • Excellent at tracking dependencies and planning them with the other Unify teams.
  • Self-motivated, Energetic, Creative, Confident, and able to articulate at multiple levels within an organization.
