Would you like a new experience working on one of the 5 most beautiful islands in the Netherlands (Schiermonnikoog, Ameland, Terschelling, Vlieland, and Texel)? A popular holiday destination? End your day enjoying incredible views of the North Sea!

The ideal candidate should have experience and understanding of the requirements of an independent cook within a kitchen. Responsibilities include preparing lunches and dinners, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring dishes are of the highest quality. A minimum of an Intermediate or Upper-intermediate (B1-B2) level of English is required.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Experience in cooking and willingness to support the head chef and colleagues in the kitchen.
  2. Flexibility and ability to work under pressure at peak times.
  3. Prioritize quality in food preparation and hygiene standards.
  4. Oversee tasks such as washing, chopping vegetables, cleaning, preparing snacks or dishes, and mise en place.
  5. Assist the head chef or manage your own section in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  1. At least an Intermediate or Upper-intermediate (B1-B2) level of English.
  2. Studies in Gastronomy.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in the gastronomy sector.

What do you get?

  1. Contract under Dutch collective agreement.
  2. Salary ranging from €13 to €15.50 gross per hour (+21 years old), approximately €2,140 to €2,550 gross per month. Tips: €300 net.
  3. Weekly salary payments.
  4. Accommodation in shared housing organized by the employer at a low cost, around €55-€65 per week, close to the workplace.
  5. At least two meals included during work hours.
  6. Workweeks averaging between 35 and 60 hours, with high season exceeding 40 hours weekly.
  7. Work schedule provided by the employer.
  8. Subsidized health insurance at €33.50 per week.
  9. Option to rent a bicycle or use an establishment-provided one.
  10. Boat ticket paid by our partners in the Netherlands.
  11. Support and assistance in Spanish throughout the process, including communication, interviews, and information.
  12. A paid night in a hostel in Groningen, followed by assistance from colleagues to manage your BSN number at the city hall.
