Who we're looking for

We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial & Portfolio Management team. You will be an important part of our work to optimise insurance pricing strategies while monitoring and managing our portfolio. You will assist in building and enhancing our MI suite, conducting analyses of performance, and delivering insights for profitable growth.

We seek proactive and eager talent ready to make an impact and grow with us. Previous experience isn't required, but an actuarial background or ongoing studies in actuarial science are preferred. We want someone smart, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the development and enhancement of MI systems and dashboards for better decision-making
  • Conducting portfolio analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Assisting with data analysis and reporting for reinsurers
  • Preparing and presenting findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the Pricing team to review and develop technical pricing strategies
  • Supporting the wider Actuarial team on Solvency II and Reserving topics
  • Working with teams across Pricing, Finance, Claims, Reinsurance, and Underwriting to provide analytical support

What you will need to be successful

  • A degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or data science
  • 0-3 years of experience in an actuarial role, preferably in UK motor insurance
  • Familiarity with statistical software like SQL, R, Python, or Excel VBA; MI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikView is a plus
  • Good communication skills to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights and make recommendations
  • Proactive, adaptable, collaborative mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness and ability to link analysis to business outcomes
