We are seeking an innovative leader for the position of Salesforce Release Manager, with the additional responsibility of conducting evangelization activities within the development team. This comprehensive role involves not only establishing and maintaining repository logic but also inspiring and educating our team on effective collaborative practices. You will be responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule and within budget.
Main responsibilities :
- Plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle.
- Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.
- Communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams.
- Assist in project management to ensure milestones and deadlines for the releases can be met.
- Define and structure repositories using tools as necessary.
- Ensure the integrity and efficiency of version control processes and configuration management.
- Create and maintain efficient Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines, promoting automation to enhance consistency and speed in the development process.
- Promote best practices in collaborative development and effective use of repositories.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve understanding and adoption of recommended practices.
- Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
- Ensure consistency and alignment between development and production environments.
- Collaborate with operations teams to implement and maintain an effective configuration management strategy.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to different technologies.
- Efficiently manage responsibilities across multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
- Demonstrate initiative and autonomy to proactively address challenges and opportunities in variable environments.
- Guide and train a small team of junior release managers.
- Facilitate professional development and adoption of best practices in release management.
- Work closely with development, operations, and quality teams to ensure consistency and efficiency in repository implementation.
- Experience in code review, specifically in the Salesforce environment.
- Ensure consistency with best development practices on the Salesforce platform.
Required Experience :
- High level of English.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining repositories.
- Advanced knowledge in pipeline development and automation (Desired).
- Strong communication and presentation skills for evangelizing and training the development team.
- Open-mindedness toward the adoption of different technologies as needed.
- Confirmed experience in Salesforce across Development, Admin, DevOps and Release.
- Confirmed experience in Release and Deployment management.
- Confirmed experience in Salesforce Development / DevOps.
- Solid knowledge of Salesforce DX Project Structure & metadata source format.
- Solid knowledge of metadata deployments, Metadata API and SF CLI.
- Solid experience with Git and branching strategies (e.g. GitFlow).
- Jenkins and GitLab pipelines.
- Oriented to creating automation on Force.com platform and building CI / CD solutions.
