Senior Design System Developer

At Capitole, we are looking for a Senior Design System Developer to join a multidisciplinary and international team working on cutting-edge eCommerce platforms.

This role is ideal for experienced frontend engineers with a strong focus on UI componentization, design system architecture, and a keen eye for visual consistency and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain scalable and consistent design systems for B2C / B2B applications
2. Translate UX / UI designs into reusable, performant, and accessible components
3. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure seamless user experiences
4. Work with monorepos, shared libraries, and internal npm package distribution
5. Ensure strict adherence to WCAG accessibility standards and atomic design principles
6. Drive best practices in UI development and contribute to internal documentation and tooling

Must Have

• Strong knowledge of styling libraries like TailwindCSS, Styled Components, or similar
• Advanced skills in vanilla CSS, responsive design, and visual polish
• Proven track record building or maintaining design systems at scale
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with design and product teams
• Fluency in accessibility standards (WCAG) and design tokens
• Professional proficiency in English
