Network Security Engineer

83zero is supporting a global IT Services Consultancy that has a customer in Barcelona seeking a dedicated Network & Security Engineer with experience in Palo Alto to join their technical team.

Role Overview

This role involves providing support services in security, collaborating on various tasks, and sharing knowledge within the team. The ideal candidate should have experience in logical security environments and be eager to learn and operate other security systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support Requests:
   • Attend to N1 and N2 requests such as user navigation, incidents from EDR, access management, remote access, SFTP resource management, digital certificates (HSM), vulnerability management, and mobile device management (MDM).
2. Security Queries:
   • Answer doubts and queries about security.

Work closely with the technical team, sharing knowledge and collaborating on usual tasks.

Skills

• Strong understanding of network and security principles.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot security incidents.
• Familiarity with EDR, access management, remote access, SFTP, digital certificates, vulnerability management, and MDM.
• Willingness to continue learning and operate other security systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and share knowledge.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in logical security environments with knowledge and some experience in Palo Alto.
• Certifications:
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE): Validates in-depth knowledge to design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA): Validates skills for network security administrators managing Palo Alto Firewalls.
