Director of Accounting Shared Service Center

Temporary contract from 02.06.2025 to 31.12.2025 — Marbella, Spain

You hold a Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of experience across audit, tax, and accounting areas. You have international finance experience, familiarity with consolidation procedures, and are highly proficient in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of Dynamics AX7, Hyperion, and BI software like Jedox is a plus. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with French being advantageous. You possess strong managerial and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in delivering financial presentations at an executive level.

As Director of the Accounting Shared Service Center, you will oversee operational finance and accounting for 15 entities, supervising a team of 25. Your responsibilities include ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant financial reporting and processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing group consolidation services.

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Supervising and developing a team of approximately 25 FTEs, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and consolidation assistants.
  2. Maintaining and improving SSC capacities, including staffing, procedures, internal controls, and budget management.
  3. Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and resolution of issues, including interactions with auditors.
  4. Researching and resolving domestic, international, and financial reporting accounting issues, ensuring consistency across departments.
