Our client, headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, is part of a European group of investors with expertise in logistics for semi-solid and liquefied hydrocarbon products in Africa. The family-owned company operates advanced production facilities and is expanding its transportation fleet and logistics infrastructure to serve industrial customers across Nigeria and West Africa.

Your Mission :

  • Manage the operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the production plant, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal performance.
  • Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, maintenance, operations, HSE, HR, and supply chain to enhance reliability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Oversee plant processes including production scheduling, resource utilization, inventory, quality assurance, and incident prevention.
  • Accountable for the site’s P&L, including budgeting, cost analysis, ROI tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Drive growth through process improvements, technology upgrades, and innovation aligned with corporate goals.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, environmental, and security protocols, promoting a zero-incident culture.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, community leaders, and government authorities.
  • Represent the plant in company initiatives, contributing to expansion strategies and regional ambitions.
  • Report to the Group COO and coordinate with the executive team and HQ technical departments in Abuja.

Your Profile :

  • Hold a technical degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; a Master’s in Business Administration is advantageous.
  • Minimum 15 years in the oil & gas sector, with at least 10 years in leadership or plant management roles in chemical, gas production, or refining environments.
  • Experience in managing complex plant operations, process optimization, HSE compliance, and project execution.
  • Strong financial skills with experience managing large budgets, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and achieving ROI targets.
  • Proven ability to develop human resources, manage performance, and motivate teams.
  • Expertise in safety, health, environmental management, and security policies compliant with standards.
  • Strategic thinker capable of leading plant expansions, upgrades, and innovation initiatives.
  • Excellent communicator and leader, adept at stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive approach to change management and problem-solving.
  • Recognized as a visionary yet hands-on leader with attention to detail and integrity.
