About The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager - Sustainable Packaging to help leading consumer, food, and industrial brands transition to environmentally responsible packaging. Based in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Poland, France, or the Netherlands , you will drive new business across the European Union by partnering with major customers to deliver innovative, eco-friendly packaging solutions.
This is a strategic, outward-facing sales role ideal for a results-driven professional with strong business development experience, industry relationships, and a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and engage new business opportunities in assigned European territories.
- Build and manage a pipeline of high-potential clients in the consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, industrial, and retail sectors.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
- Deliver persuasive product presentations focused on environmental impact, innovation, and economic value.
- Act as a trusted sustainability advisor to customers, providing insights into regulatory trends and innovation pathways.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Legal, and Marketing.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Contribute to market intelligence and competitive positioning strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Packaging Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in packaging, materials, manufacturing, or sustainability-related sectors.
- Proven ability to sell into large multinational or matrixed organizations.
- Strong understanding of the consumer goods, food, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; fluency in an additional language such as German, Spanish, French, Dutch, or Polish is a strong advantage.
- Experience working across international teams and regions (U.S., EU, LATAM).
- Willingness to travel within the European Union as needed.
