Metrohm AG is one of the world’s industry leaders in laboratory instruments and accessories for analytical testing and research. With more than 2,700 employees worldwide, we develop, produce, sell, and service high-precision instruments for chemical analyses in the laboratory and in industrial production processes. We are present in over 90 countries, with subsidiaries or exclusive agencies.

To build up additional Scrum Teams in an international environment at our facilities in Metrohm DropSens (Asturias – Spain), for the development of our new OMNIS software platform for managing all Metrohm instruments, we are looking for a .NET Software Engineer .

Responsibilities :

  • As a full stack software developer, you are a member of a Scrum Team and contribute with your engagement to develop the OMNIS software.
  • You plan and organize development activities together with your team.
  • You take responsibility for the further development of the OMNIS software.
  • With your experience, you help develop your scrum team to its highest performance.
  • You elaborate feasible solutions with the Product Owner and implement them in your team with a high commitment to quality.
  • You work closely with other departments (e.g. laboratory, hardware, and firmware) to implement functionalities in an optimal way.
  • You are proactive and eager to help your team continuously sharpen their engineering skills and improve the agile development process .

Your profile :

  • You have a Bachelor or Master in Computer Science and experience in software development.
  • Experience in software development with C# .NET . Experience in software managing hardware is a plus.
  • You feel comfortable in a team of about 6-10 people and have already worked in an agile environment, ideally in an international scaled environment.
  • Valuable experience in .NET 8, C# , WPF, gRPC, Entity Framework, Visual Studio / Rider, Git, MS SQL, multithreading, asynchronous programming, and peer programming. Knowledge in OOA / D, Design Patterns, DDD, SOLID , and Clean Code.
  • You enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment and appreciate the exchange with specialists in chemistry, electronics, and software.
  • You are open, curious, and eager to learn .
