Title : HR Specialist - Germany

9 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location : UK / Spain / Poland

In this role, you will support our HR Advisor covering our German and Dutch colleagues. Responsibilities include HR Administration, Tier 1 queries, performance and absence management.

The role aims to provide a positive colleague experience and efficient service to stakeholders and the business. It involves setting up and improving local processes and policies, aligning with BSI’s culture and future focus.

Working within the wider People function, you will ensure a consistent, industry-aligned service, identify policy gaps, support procedural improvements, and ensure compliance with local employment law in partnership with the People Services Team leader and People Partner.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality People Services administration in line with SLAs and legal expectations.
  • Manage HR admin tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and maintaining Workday records.
  • Resolve Tier 1 People Services queries promptly, escalating when needed.
  • Assist in establishing and streamlining regional processes and policies.
  • Identify gaps in policies and collaborate on improvements.
  • Review procedures for compliance, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Support the delivery of the Colleague Lifecycle processes.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous HR experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of employment law in Netherlands and Germany.
  • Experience with performance and absence management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • High accuracy, quality, efficiency, and service orientation.
  • Proactive team player and relationship builder.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening.
  • Fluent Dutch or German language skills are highly desirable.
  • Relevant education or training in HR, business administration, or related fields.
