We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Director with a strong background within the creative agency scene, particularly in the realm of digital marketing with an emphasis on social media.
As the Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing client relationships, overseeing creative projects, and ensuring the successful execution of digital marketing campaigns. Your strategic mindset, creative flair, and proven experience in social media will be instrumental in driving client success and agency growth.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management and Growth :
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with global clients, understanding their business objectives, challenges, and industry trends to provide strategic guidance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating the client briefs into an executional plan and ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for creative solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals, leveraging industry knowledge and past successes.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients to drive revenue growth.
International Market Expertise and Strategic Planning :
- Leverage a deep understanding of international markets to provide insights and strategies that resonate with diverse cultural nuances.
- Stay abreast of global industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform decision-making.
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with clients' business goals and market trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness and achieve measurable results.
Project Management and Leadership :
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of creative digital marketing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on brief, within scope, compliant with local requirements and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, production, and strategy, to ensure seamless project execution and meet client objectives.
- Prioritise various projects for multiple brands in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
- Manage the distribution of content across all channels, working with internal and external partners (e.g. Media agencies).
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
Financial and Resource Management :
- Oversee project budgets, forecast and ensure financial targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue from existing clients.
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate forecasts and financial reporting.
Communication and Presentation :
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, internal teams and external partners, providing regular updates and progress reports and ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Present creative concepts, strategies, and campaign results in a compelling manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Mentor and guide junior account management staff, sharing international insights and best practices.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Lead the development of social media strategies that engage target audiences and drive brand awareness.
Campaign Analysis and Optimization :
- Utilize analytics and performance metrics to evaluate campaign success.
- Identify areas for improvement and optimization, implementing changes to enhance campaign performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience (6+ years) in account management within a creative agency, with a focus on digital marketing and social media.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in client retention and revenue growth.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Excellent understanding of what creativity represents within the digital advertising scene, both from a content and a strategic point of view.
- A passion for data and previous experience using it as a main operating tool.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (ideal).
