As a Junior IT Administrator, you work closely with the System Administrator and are responsible for setting up and maintaining the technical infrastructure. Your duties include implementing and managing changes, resolving disruptions, and advising on improvements related to software, servers, networks, and network components, including IT security. You will continue the installation and configuration of necessary improvements, act as a point of contact for colleagues, and monitor the stability, safety, availability, quality, and continuity of the infrastructure.

You are an expert or have the potential to become one, with a passion for learning and mastering new technologies. You have a pioneering spirit and drive to apply new methodologies and concepts in various projects. We require 1-3 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar, analyzing and solving network and server issues.

  • Enterprising, proactive, and able to think creatively.
  • Knowledge and experience with LAN, WAN, VLANs, DNS, and Routing.
  • Experience as a system engineer or administrator in a Microsoft environment; Linux experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019 and Microsoft Azure.
  • Possession of a valid driving license B.
  • Experience with monitoring systems (RMM) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English.
  • Customer service orientation and a service-minded attitude.
  • Availability for full-time work (40 hours / week).
  • 1-3 years of experience in third-line support.
  • IT education at MBO-4 level or equivalent certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Knowledge of data protection laws (AVG / GDPR).
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • EU citizenship or valid EU work permit.
  • Willingness to work extended or irregular hours as part of regional team involvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel to other / future AmSpec locations.
  • Knowledge of local environment, waste management, health, and safety regulations.
  • Compliance with company policies on health & safety, environment, integrity, and conduct.
