Senior Frontend Engineer - React

Role Overview: THE STACK

Our frontend is a single-page application built with ES6, TypeScript, and React. We also use react-query, styled components, jest, and react-testing-library. On the backend, we utilize Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and Redis. Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, with a solid CI/CD setup that allows us to deploy to QA and production environments easily.

Key Responsibilities: THE JOB

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (f/m/d) who enjoys creating business applications with excellent UX. You will work with a small, experienced, diverse, and fun team of engineers, designers, and product specialists. Your challenges will include:

• Shipping engaging features with animations and great UX.
• Eliminating tech debt and reducing inconsistencies, with dedicated refactoring time.
• Collaborating to improve processes, architecture, and other aspects of your work.

You will also:

• Influence product feature development.
• Own projects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to architectural, technical, and organizational decisions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ownership and autonomy at work.
• Deep knowledge of developing complex UIs and component libraries with React.
• Ability to leverage Copilot or other LLM tools to boost productivity while maintaining code quality.
• Commitment to software craftsmanship, clean code, and robust testing.
• Experience in architectural decision-making and problem decomposition.
• Good sense of design, typography, and UX.
• A desire to teach and learn, with humility.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, capable of explaining technical solutions simply.
