We are currently looking for an HSE Site Manager to join one of our team in Portugal.

Responsibilities

  • Define the HSE strategy, manage documentation updates, and assign key resources.
  • Supervise the site HSE team, review planned activities and associated risks, and provide risk profiles and mitigation proposals to the Home Office HSE Manager.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with HSE standards, attend and perform project HSE audits as required.
  • Oversee incident notifications and investigations per procedures, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and issue Safety Alerts and Lessons Learned.
  • Assess HSE resource needs (management, technical, training, staffing) with the Site and Project HSE Managers.
  • Ensure project-wide integration of health policies, including substance control and health risk management.
  • Implement and enforce Client HSE programs : Pulse Plans, OPS / Leadership Walkthroughs, best practices, KPIs (leading / lagging), and BBS.
  • Lead HSE meetings with contractors and the Client.
  • Submit weekly / monthly HSE reports to the Client and Home Office HSE Manager.

Requirements :

  • Strong knowledge of local Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  • High level of English (C1-B2)
  • Over 5 years of experience as HSE Manager (both project and site level), with strong technical and managerial expertise.
  • Willingness to move to Portugal
