Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our Madrid team. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance and indirectly to the French Country Manager, you will translate corporate strategy into operational plans, focusing on proactive problem solving to enhance profitability and productivity.

Responsibilities

  1. Partner with the General Manager and SLT to provide actionable insights on business performance to support decision-making.
  2. Manage General Accounting and Financial Statements, including month-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and year-end procedures.
  3. Oversee Financial & Management Reporting with detailed analysis.
  4. Lead the local budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure predictability and transparency.
  5. Manage banking activities, cash flow, and reconciliations.
  6. Handle month-end activities such as intercompany balance confirmations, invoicing, and vendor reconciliations.
  7. Work proactively with group and sales teams to drive collections.
  8. Coordinate with central teams for sales order processing and procure-to-pay activities.
  9. Review vendor invoices for accuracy and manage payments.
  10. Manage relationships with legal and accounting service providers.
  11. Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
  12. Identify and implement improvements within finance operations.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field, with CPA certification.
  2. Proven experience in a similar finance role, with solid accounting knowledge.
  3. Experience in a multinational software company is a plus.
  4. Proactive, hands-on approach, willing to engage in non-accounting activities and collaborate with local teams.
  5. Strong communication skills and ability to build a global network.
  6. Ability to operate professionally within a matrix organization and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Curious, results-driven, and resilient under pressure.
  8. Proficiency in Netsuite, Excel, or similar tools.
  9. Fluent in French and English.
