Descripción del empleo

A growing deep-tech company specialising in cutting-edge optical multi-gigabit automotive transceivers is looking for an experienced R&D Project Manager to support the delivery of ambitious product development programmes. With a strong technical roadmap and involvement in public grant programmes, this role is key to ensuring projects run on time, within budget, and in line with wider business and funding requirements.

You’ll be working closely with engineering leads across multiple R&D functions, as well as external stakeholders including universities, research centres, and industry collaborators. This is a hands-on role that mixes classic project controls with strategic coordination around IP, dissemination, and partnerships.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Leading project planning and tracking across scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables
  • Managing communication and documentation for technical and grant-related reporting
  • Coordinating internal teams and external partners across prototyping, qualification, and production phases
  • Acting as main point of contact for audits, documentation reviews, and funding validations
  • Supporting IP management and dissemination activities, including conference contributions and technical publications
  • Building relationships with academic institutions and managing collaborations, including oversight of Master’s and PhD student projects

What you’ll need :

  • Degree in Industrial, Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Experience managing R&D or SW / HW development projects
  • Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder technical programmes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and documentation capabilities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a collaborative working style

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to blend technical understanding with cross-functional project leadership, in a company working on the next generation of automotive connectivity.
