Global Data Domain Steward

The Global Data Domain Steward ensures that global data governance standards are effectively aligned with regional and local execution. This role facilitates communication, maintains consistent governance practices, and provides functional leadership in managing data governance activities within a specific global data domain, focusing on the Data PowerHouse Platform and SAP MDG initiatives.

Main responsibilities :

Data Management Leadership and Communication :

• Collaborate with Global and Regional Data Domain Owners to ensure consistent data management practices and governance standards.
• Serve as a liaison between business teams and global data governance, ensuring alignment and best practices.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to support Data PowerHouse and SAP MDG initiatives.

Data Governance Framework (Definition) :

• Support the creation and maintenance of Master Data Directives and ensure alignment with global standards.
• Assist in developing data quality requirements, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.

Data Governance Framework (Implementation and Operation) :

• Monitor and report on data quality and compliance within the domain.
• Ensure adherence to SAP MDG governance processes, including privacy and security compliance.
• Support internal audits and impact analysis of proposed data changes.

Collaboration with Data Platforms (Data PowerHouse & SAP MDG) :

• Ensure governance practices are followed during domain data integration into the Data PowerHouse platform.
• Align business processes with SAP MDG standards for managing master data.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring data governance requirements are met.

Qualifications & Skills :

• 4 years of experience in defining and implementing data governance frameworks, master data management, data stewardship, and data quality lifecycle management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data complexity and the challenges associated with change management in data-related initiatives
• Experience working with Data Governance and Master Data tools (SAP MDG, Purview, Informatica, Collibra, etc)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
